This page is dedicated to our fur and feathered babies who blessed our lives with their loving presence for a short period of this lifetime before crossing the rainbow bridge to their afterlife home where they wait patiently for us to return home. We love you and miss you. ~Kris

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

BuddyOur precious Buddy. When someone coined the term "Jumping for Joy" they must have seen Buddy when I came to take him for a walk. Of course he was all wags and kisses when he saw me come through the door because he was happy to see me, but the moment I picked up the leash he would jump straight up in the air and do a full spin like a twister. He loved his walks, and he loved his friend Simon who walked with us. We always tried to explore new places. Although he would tire on the hills, he insisted on taking them. There might be pee mail waiting for him at the top. He and Simon always tried to one up each other with who got to leave the last pee mail before moving on. You are greatly missed my friend, and I can't wait to see you jump for joy once again when I bring the leash with me across the bridge.

SammySweet, sweet Sammy. She was so loving and gentle. She loved to lay by her sister Megan's side on the bed. She always made me feel welcome, and accepted my loving pets with purrs even though she didn't feel well. Our time together was much to brief on this earth. I look forward to seeing you again one day in paradise.

IsadoraIsa, a gentle giant you were my friend. Isa looked forward to our three walks a day while her parents spent the holidays with family. She stayed by my side and stayed calm when loose dogs came at us. She was always mindful that she was bigger and stronger than me, and never pulled me along. She would lay quietly by my side once we returned from our walks, allowing me to give some quality time to her brother kitty, Mister. I'm confident one day we'll meet again on the other side.

MorriganA beautiful soul you were. Although I never got to take a photo of you, your presence will forever be imprinted on my heart. I'll never forget how grateful she was the day I flipped her worn out corrugated cardboard scratcher to the fresh side. You would have thought it was filled with catnip. She leapt upon it and started scratching away with shear joy, and returned to it six or eight times. She loved to play with toys, but also enjoyed a good petting and neck scratch too. I'll bring a fun string toy with me when I return home and see you again.

CockatielYou were still so new in your parent's lives, that they were working on the perfect name. They were not sure yet if you were a boy or a girl, but we sensed you were a beautiful lady. It mattered not. What did matter is you had a songful soul. This sweet bird loved to come out to play the minute I arrived at the house. She would climb up my arm to my shoulder and go with me while I completed my chores. She loved to visit the turtle while I fed him, and looked curiously at the fish when we visited the aquarium. Although she had a short life here, she brought great joy to our lives. I can imagine you soaring joyfully in the sun with the wind under your wings at your new home. I will visit again.
